ResumeDesk is built so that your resume stays yours. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use it.

Where your resume lives

Your resume — including any photo you add — is stored in your own browser (local storage on your device). There are no accounts, and we do not keep a copy of your resume on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it entirely.

AI features

• When you use an AI feature (generating, scoring, improving, tailoring, or the assistant), the text of your resume — and, where relevant, a job description you paste — is sent to our AI provider to produce the result, then returned to your browser.
• Your photo is never sent to the AI. It is stripped from every AI request.
• The short text prompts you type (the description on the landing page, instructions to the editor assistant, and import notes) are kept in a private log so we can improve the product. Your resume content itself is not stored on our servers after the response is returned.

Uploaded files

When you upload a CV (PDF, DOCX, or TXT), it is parsed to extract its text and photo and build your editable resume. A copy of the uploaded file is kept on the server so we can review import quality and improve the product; only the most recent uploads are retained, and older ones are deleted automatically.

PDF export

When you download your resume as a PDF, it is rendered on our server for the duration of the request and returned to you. The rendered document is not retained.

Cookies and tracking

ResumeDesk sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics or trackers.

Contact messages

If you send us a message through the contact page, we store what you wrote (and the name you optionally provide) so we can read and act on it. Don't include sensitive personal information in a message.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Meaningful changes will be visible here before they take effect.
